A 59 year old man is diagnosed with an illness and needs help from the state but Is denied. He meets with a single mother and her 2 children. He fights for his dignity

The film first premiered in Newcastle where the film was set to gain local support. The film was projected onto the house of parliament and other cities, using guerrilla marketing.  The director, Loach went onto BBC Question time to talk about the issues mentioned in the film.

I think the film was a success, it made a much higher profit than the estimated production budget, and has an inspiring message which relates to other peoples lives and brings awareness to the issue of poverty in many communities. The film was cheap to watch, making it accessible for everyone regardless of wealth.
