Iron Man 3	Denotation: Iron Man's Mechanical Suit. Connotations: His suit made of iron is sturdy and durable. The colours and star designs show the colours of the american flag. It shows the stereotypical aspect of an american superhero	Denotation: Dark lighting and Light Lighting Connotations: Dark colours which are associated with villainous intentions and evil. Light colours would be associated with being righteous and heroic.	Denotation: Behind and Front views. Connotations: A behind view of the actor would give a sense of a mysterious character, the villain. A front view would show the emotion or expression of the character eg when Iron Man sits on his bed he looks thoughtful.	Denotation: 0:47 Blue Plane in the sky. Broken door with smoke coming out of it. Connotations: The plane is about to crash, Something dangerous is going to happen. People inside the plane will be injured. The smoke connotes that something inside the plane has caught on fire.
RDR2	Denotation: Old-Fashioned Western Clothing/ Cowboy. Connotations: The story is set in an older time period, and it is set in the west.	Denotation: Warm Colours, Orange and Blue. Connotations: The orange lighting gives a feeling of danger often used in this clip for a scene that includes fire, guns or graves. The Blue lighting gives  feelings of calmness balancing out the intensity with the orange lighting.	Denotation: Using gun and knives, Riding horses, Connotations: The characters using knives and guns being connotes violence and killing. Characters riding horses also fit in the theme of a western video-game since it was a main use of travel during older times.	Denotation: Guns, Knives, horses. Connotations: The guns and knives tell the story is mainly focused on murder and violence. Horse-riding tells that there is a lot of travelling in the game.
Stranger Things	Denotation: Wearing basic 80s clothings. Connotations: It is a normal day in the story, however the main characters did not know that they were gonna be chased.	Denotation: Daytime, Sunny, but slightly dim. Connotations: It is daytime in the story however the dimmed lighting add suspense to the chase.	Denotation: Riding bikes.  Connotations: The characters run from their house to their bikes. They are riding very fast-paced so they are trying to escape from the van which is chasing them.	Denotation: Houses, Neighbourhood Connotations: The van has followed them to their houses, therefore they are being chased in their neighbourhood. The trees have fallen leaves, so the story is set around the colder months.
Nike	Denotations: Street Clothes, and Sportswear. Connotations: Most of the actors wear sportswear or street clothes, which fits the theme because Nike is a sportswear's clothing company.	Denotations: Bright lights, day time, night time  Connotations: The constant changes between different lighting environments shows the difference of each scene with every different actor.	Denotations: Running, Playing Sports. Connotations: Different actors that are playing different sports/ running to different destinations which shows the individual day to day lives of people living in London	Denotations: Basketball/ Football Court, Streets Corner Shops. Connotations:  The constant change of settings also shows the different daily lives of the residents of London. Most of the younger actors are shown in football/basketball courts.
